Gantt Control VCL

This is a set of software components that help add GANTT functionality to an application being developed.

The component Gantt Control enables software developers to ad a range of GANTT related functionality to their applications. You would be able to visualize and schedule tasks, activities and events in the applications being developed. Core set of components available are GANTT related, PERT chart related, Table views of activities and print previews of tasks and activities. GANTT charts essentially provide a way of representing the chronology of activities and tasks visualized as bars shown under a timescale. Planned as well as actual activities could be included. A hierarchical structure to activities can be created and grouped into summary bars that allow collapsing and expanding of tasks. Objects like milestones, textboxes and images can be displayed within the GANTT chart. Connections between two activities by parameters of type of connection (start-finish, finish-start, start-start and finish-finish) or a minimal time range between two activities can be represented.

Buffer time, captions, start, end pictogram, progress and view style can be used in case of every bar in the chart. Drag & drop can be applied to the bars which in turn make creation of new bars very simple. “day-view”, “week-view”, “month-view” and “year-view” are modes of viewing possible. The built-in calendar module supports defining and displaying categories for special dates like holiday or vacations. Weekends could be defined easily. The critical path is automatically determined by the tool. Several levels of undo-redo are available. Several functionalities are offered in the PERT and Table view groups of functions.
